Business Development Associate (BDA)
Job Description
Standard Filter offers industrial air pollution filters and accessories for North American industries to comply with EPA air regulations. The Business Development Associate (BDA) position will center on calling and corresponding with current and potential users of our air filtration products. It will require learning our products, markets, industry and the Standard Filter sales process and skill set. This position will also be a direct point of contact to assist in product and application inquiries, expediting the sales process and following through with customer service requests. Throughout the onboarding process, the BDA will learn to identify the specific needs of clients, departments and entire organizations and how Standard Filter can provide solutions to meet those needs. This role is designed for candidates who are looking to pursue Lead Generation as a primary skill in their career.
General Responsibilities
- Research companies online and via other tools to generate new prospects to cold call to cultivate business opportunities for filtration sales
- Prospect via phone from “warm leads” in our CRM database to cultivate filtration sales opportunities
- Utilize email and social media capabilities to connect to potential leads
- Ability to call, pursue leads, and partially work in all time zones of the United States.
- Work in concert with the Regional Sales Managers and Business Development Managers for prospecting priorities in their Regions
- Act resourcefully and innovatively to solve problems and complete tasks
- Communicate constructively to management and team members on problems, ideas or any other insights to assist in defining new ideas, policies and procedures
Sales Responsibilities
- Lead Generation is the primary function and metric. Developing “warm leads” for Regional Sales Managers and Business Development Managers to pursue for a sale.
- Client profile maintenance with detailed notes and follow-up in our CRM system
- Participation in marketing programs and events
- Report to management on customer relationships, lead generation outlook, lead generation results, and new prospects
- Develop initial relationships with customers using CRM database, phone calls, personal activities, events and various other marketing methods
Desired Skills and Experience
- Previous experience with lead generation, CRM tools and processes for 1+ years is required.
- Previous industrial sales experience a plus but not necessary
- Previous phone sales experience a plus but not necessary
- Professional, creative and dynamic presence and the ability to communicate with people at all levels
- Excellent written and verbal skills at technical and professional levels
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Intermediate computer and keyboarding skills
- Keen intelligence and negotiation skills
- Mechanical aptitude is a BIG plus
Compensation and Benefit
- Pay: $21/hour to $24/hour. Full Time, 40 hours
