Prestart Powder
PRE-GUARD™ (Prestart Powder) is used as an initial control
layer on the filter bags. It also helps in the release of the dust
cake during the cleaning cycle, improves initial efficiencies and
protects the bags during critical initial startup after rebagging.
Prestart powder is packaged
in 50 lb. bags. (Covers 1,000 sq. ft. of cloth)
Formula for prestart powder
Diameter. of bag in inches X 3.14 X length of bag in inches X quantity of bags
divided by 144 = total sq. ft. of filter cloth area. Since 1 lb. of prestart
powder per 20 sq. ft. of filter cloth is required, then divide total sq. ft.
by 20 to give you the total amount of pounds required for test.
Leak
Detection Powder
LDP™ (Leak Detection Powder) is an aid in finding thosetroublesome
leaks in your baghouse. By injecting the leak detecting powder
into the baghouse inlet, the powder will travel throughout your
baghouse. By using a backlight, the leaking area shows up as a
bright colored powder marking.
Packaged
4-1 gal. cans, 25 gal. pail or 55 gal. drum.
To determine the quantity of prestart powder and leak detection
powder needed, simply follow the formulas below:
